Bringing Zense to life
Zense is a fintech blockchain startup that provides a suite of software products for borrowers and lending clients in the mortgage industry.
The future of credit
As a software developer for a mortgage company, I had observed and experienced firsthand the inefficiencies and legacy code that plagued the loan process.
The Problem
The credit industry is broken - manual processes stunt the growth and throughput of the modern lender, and it shows through consistently long turnaround times for borrowers and low funding ratios & performance for lenders.
The Solution
A suite of products that replaces the manual processes along the loan pipeline - AI & machine learning for lenders to quickly identify qualified candidates, and the blockchain for an immutable, reusable financial identity for borrowers.
What is Zense?
With Zense, lenders can analyze their portfolio with AI to rank, prioritize and reach out to their borrowers with the highest propensity to refinance. From there, borrowers can go through the Zense Pathway, an online 1003 with integrations that help automate the loan process all the way to closing, giving lenders unprecedented time savings and funding ratio improvements.
Borrowers can visit the Zense Marketplace, where they can fill out a credit application (for the last time, thanks to the blockchain) once, and browse credit offers curated by AI and machine learning specifically for their financial identity.
In 2019, I joined the Zense team as a Product Designer to help bring the vision to life. I helped ideate, iterate and develop core product features while implementing a complete rebrand, establishing and applying the Zense moniker and brand guidelines to the platform.
Once the brand was established, I worked with designers and developers to design, copywrite, prototype and implement the marketing website, as well as the borrower & lender portals.
